1 Million Cups Pitch Event

March 14 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

Calling all Entrepreneurs! In late 2017 the Oakland Entrepreneurial Alliance started 1 Million Cups Oakland which is the only 1 Million Cups program in Michigan.

1MC offers an opportunity for an entrepreneur to pitch their concept before a supportive audience of entrepreneurs and other interested members of the entrepreneurial community.  The event is open to anyone who wishes to attend there is no pre-registration required.

On the second Wednesday of every month 1MC presents one to two entrepreneurs. Each entrepreneur has six minutes to present their business idea and they each receive 20 minutes of feedback from a panel and the audience. We typically have an audience of about 20 people.

1MC is focused on providing a supportive environment for the entrepreneur. It is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to practice their pitch and receive some valuable feedback from the audience without the pressure of a contest.

Are you ready to take a chance and give a pitch? Just submit an applicationOnce the application is reviewed, then the presenter will be provided some online training and personal coaching by one of the 1MC volunteers. Once the training is complete, then the entrepreneur is scheduled to present.

Our next 1MC event is next Wednesday, March 14, 2018. 1MC takes place at 2100 Pontiac Lake Road Waterford at the Oakland County Executive Office Building Conference Center. Doors open at 8:30am and the presentation starts at 9:00am. The event concludes at 10:00am.
