What is your role and how do you feel you support MMSDC Constituents . What issues should MMSDC constituents take to you?

Currently I am a Marketing Specialist at MMSDC, and help develop and manage all marketing materials and communications that go out to our constituents. Constituents should contact me if they have any questions about email newsletters, marketing pieces, event information, or other general questions about the Council, our programming, and our communication.

 

Your path to your current position at MMSDC?

Before working at MMSDC, I spent about 3 years working in advertising and marketing sales for Michigan.com a Gannett property and a couple startup marketing firms. I would met daily with small and large businesses, and help them develop and execute a marketing plan and campaigns to reach their target audiences.

 

Why do you choose to work at MMSDC?

I choose to work at MMSDC because the mission is extremely fulfilling and rewarding. As a young minority who has aspirations of maybe someday owning a business, working at MMSDC helps me contribute to laying the foundation for building an ecosystem that allows minority owned businesses to be successful and grow.

 

What are your outside of MMSDC hobbies or passion projects?

Outside of MMSDC, I am currently working on an MBA and Master of Science in Marketing degree from Walsh College that usually keeps me pretty busy. I also enjoy playing golf, fantasy football, and learning new recipes.

 

Tell us a little about your family.

I live at home with my girlfriend Amanda, and my dog Jet. I am the youngest of three, I have an older brother and sister, and my family originates from Trinidad & Tobago.
