Director, AMP

What is your role and how do you feel you support MMSDC Constituents . What issues should MMSDC constituents take to you?

I manage the Advanced Manufacturing Center. I feel that my role is to do everything I can to help our customers — whether it is business development, matchmaking, grant searches, and introductions to different contacts that could potentially take their business to the next level.

Your path to your current position at MMSDC?

I started as a clerk and administrative assistant at FCA. I volunteered for a number outside projects to boost my engineering acumen and caught the eye of Leadership who put me into the government contracts area at FCA. That was the beginning of everything, I eventually accepted a position with Magna managing all their federal, state and local contracts across 14 states as well as day-to-day operations of the government affairs team.

Why do you choose to work at MMSDC?

In a nutshell, I like helping people.

What are your outside of MMSDC hobbies or passion projects?

My priorites are: family, health and work. Family – outside of work, I dedicate myself to their health, well-being and growth. Health — without this, you can’t do the things you love most. Therefore, for me, this is not a trend or hobby, it is now a lifestyle. So, I workout regularly and work hard at trying to make good healthy eating choices. Hobbies: Cooking Current Project: Mastering the art of bread making.

Tell us a little about your family

I am married. My husband is a Chassis Engineer. We have a five-year-old boy who loves cars (Ferrari, specifically) and running (Usain Bolt’s biggest-littlest fan).
