RECEIPT OF BIDS
The City of Fraser will receive sealed bids until 10:00 a.m., local time on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the offices of the City Clerk, City of Fraser, 33000 Garfield Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The project consists of the replacement of existing sidewalk ramps with ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, and other related items of work along Eveningside Road from 13 Mile Road to Masonic Boulevard. Approximate quantities involved in this work are as follows:

Sidewalk, Rem – 350 Syd
Dr Structure Cover, Adj, Case 2 – 4 Ea
Curb and Gutter, Conc, Det F1 – 125 Ft
Detectable Warning Surface – 135 Ft
Curb Ramp Opening, Conc – 150 Ft
Sidewalk Ramp, Conc, 4 inch – 1,800 Sft
Sidewalk Ramp, Conc, 8 inch – 575 Sft
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Plans and specifications may be obtained at www.bidnetdirect.com and copies may be viewed at the offices of the City of Fraser, 33000 Garfield Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026. Bids may be rejected unless made on the forms included with the bidding documents.
A certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and a surety company on the form provided, payable to the City of Fraser, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, shall be submitted with each bid.
WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after receipt of bids. This time frame may be adjusted through mutual agreement between the Owner and the Contractor
AWARD OF CONTRACT
The City of Fraser reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in bidding. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, payment, maintenance and guarantee bonds, and insurance certificates.
STATE AND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin, in accordance with Executive Order 11246 Equal Employment Opportunity and Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity, and that the contractor will comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended.
The Contractor and sub-contractors must comply with Davis Bacon Act July 2nd, 1964 (Title 40§ 276A). The Equal Employment Opportunity Act September 28, 1965 No. 11246, all United States Department of Labor Regulations and standards Title 29, 1,3 and 5, and Title 18, U.S. C., Section 874 known as “Anti-Kickback Act” and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
