The Greater Washington Area Historical Society (GWAHS) is soliciting bids for a stair lift at the Washington Historical Museum located at 58230 Van Dyke, Washington Township, MI 48094. The project consists of all necessary work to install an ADA compliant accessible stair lift as outlined per the specifications between the ground and 1st upstair level of the Washington Historical Museum. GWAHS has determined minimum performance criteria as identified in the bid documents.

This project is being funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Attention is called to the fact than not less than minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin in accordance with Executive Order 11246 Equal Opportunity and Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity and that the Contractor will comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended.

The contractor and sub-contractors must comply with the Davis Bacon Act, July 2nd, 1964 (Title 40 SS 276A), the Equal Opportunity Act September 28, 1965, No. 11245, all United States Department of Labor regulations and standards, Title 29, 1, 3 and 5 and Title 18, U.S. C., Section 874 known as “Anti-Kickback Act” and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

There is a pre-bid conference on site located at the above address on October 24, 2019 at 10:00 am. Bidders interested in submitting pricing on this project are strongly recommended to have a representative present to gain familiarity with the project and site conditions.

Sealed bids are to be submitted to GWAHS no later than 11:00am on November 14, 2019 with bid opening immediately following.

The GWAHS intends to award after formal CDBG approval. A pre-construction meeting with the Macomb County Community Development, GWAHS and contractor will occur prior to contract signing and the start of work to review the CDBG requirements.
