The Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) is committed to promoting economic growth in minority-owned businesses. We accomplish this goal by facilitating profitable relationships between two distinct audiences: majority-owned corporations and minority-owned businesses.
Corporations
Corporate membership with the MMSDC makes finding MBEs and building profitable relationships easy and measurable.
Majority-owned corporations play a critical role in supporting supplier diversity. By choosing to spend their company resources on minority-owned businesses where possible, they deliver a direct economic impact to diverse populations and by extension, their local communities. For these reasons, many corporations have formal supplier diversity initiatives in place and are striving to find talented MBEs to serve their corporate needs.
Minority-owned businesses
Becoming a certified MBE with the MMSDC gives minority-owned businesses unprecedented access to professional training and contract opportunities with the top corporations in America.
For our MBEs, membership with the MMSDC has resulted in professional growth, job creation, increased wealth in diverse communities, and philanthropic outreach. Membership gives prime opportunities to companies that are poised for growth but maybe haven’t had the proper circumstances to capitalize on that potential before becoming a member.
