Installation of Electronic Handicapped Door

RECEIPT OF BIDS

Ray Township will receive sealed bids until 10:00 am, local time on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at the offices of Ray Township, 64255 Wolcott, Ray, Michigan 48096, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The base bid will be for the complete installation of electronic handicapped door and removal of existing door and frame if necessary.  All electrical and installation of automatic activation push buttons (inside and outside) along with wiring, mounting and testing.

ALTERNATE BID

The alternate bid will use the existing door and include the installation of the automatic activation push buttons on the inside and outside of the Senior Center to include electrical wiring, mounting and testing.

PRE PROJECT LOCATION INSPECTION

Ray Township Senior Center 64255 Wolcott, Ray, MI 48096.  Monday – Thursday 9am – 5pm.

STATE AND FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS

Attention is called to the fact that portions of this project will be funded with CDBG funds. Not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin, in accordance with Executive Order 11246 Equal Employment Opportunity and Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity and that the Contractor will comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended.

The Contractor and sub-contractors must comply with the Davis Bacon Act July 2nd, 1964 (Title 40 § 276A).  The Equal Employment Opportunity Act September 28, 1965 No. 11246, all United States Department of Labor Relations and Standards Title 29, 1, 3 and 5, and Title 18, U.S.C., Section 874 known as “Anti-Kickback Act” and the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of fourteen (14) calendar days after the receipt of bids.

AWARD OF CONTRACT

Ray Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in the bidding.  The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance certificates.
