Dodge Hall Data Center Generator Project-2016 at Oakland University


The scope of work includes: Purchase and installation of a backup generator for the Dodge Hall data center and associated infrastructure to support the generator and power feed to the data center.

The above description does not completely define the project, but is intended only for general informational purposes. The proposal shall be based on the drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.

This is a mandatory pre-bid meeting, the bidder’s attendance at the scheduled pre-bid site visit is a requirement for submitting a bid proposal. The site visit is scheduled for 9:00am, April 8, 2016.  Please meet at Dodge Hall Room 248. A printer friendly map can be found at the following:

Separate independent site visits will not be arranged.  Project Questions are to be reduced to writing and sent to [email protected] by noon, April 12, 2016.

Oakland University Purchasing Department, Rochester, Michigan will receive lump sum bid proposals for the Generator at Dodge Hall until 2:00 pm, April 19, 2016.  Bids shall be submitted in duplicate on the forms provided, with no alterations. Bids shall remain firm for 90 days from the date of bid opening. Bids shall be addressed to: Oakland University, Purchasing Department, 13 PSS, 2200 Squirrel Rd., Rochester, Michigan 48309-4401, Attention: Paula Reyes. If you have any questions please call 248-370-4423.  Bid security in the form of a certified check, or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid is required and shall accompany each bid. Disposition of the bid security shall be as described in the Instructions to Bidders in point 9.3.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond, conforming to A.I.A form A311 or its equivalent in the amount of 100% of the contract; which cost shall be included in the bid.
