Consultant, MBDA Center

What is your role and how do you feel you support MMSDC Constituents . What issues should MMSDC constituents take to you?

As a Senior Business Development Consultant with the Detroit MBDA Center, I serve as a support to the MMSDC in providing assistance to the business community that we serve. We are entrusted by the US Department of Commerce to provide business development, access to capital, sourcing opportunities and matchmaking to minority owned businesses. In supporting the Council’s work, we add value to the economic infrastructure of the community. When small businesses are thriving due to our assistance everyone benefits.

Your path to your current position at MMSDC?

Previously served as the Director of Certification for the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council. Throughout my career beginning with being an Investigator for the Civil Rights Division to Public Defender work and even owning businesses, my goal has been to do something that I love, share what I learned along the way and be the very best at what ever I’m doing.

Why do you choose to work at MMSDC?

MMSDC has been the number one Council in the universe and still continues to rank at the top in what they do – that is being the source of great MBEs who are ready to meet the needs of the major corporations. My tenure here has been filled with great learning experiences.

What are your outside of MMSDC hobbies or passion projects?

My legacy is the impact I have on the youth I work with and the ending result of the next great entrepreneur. Music is my passion-I direct an International Children’s Choir to feed my need to share my love of music.
