U.S. featured as Hannover Messe Trade Show Partner Country for 2016

MBDA to be featured in US Investment Pavilion, looking for qualified, interested MBEs

The International trade show Hannover Messe 2016 which focuses on industrial equipment is scheduled for April 25-29 in Hannover, Germany and is inviting all MBEs to attend. This year, for the first time, the United States has been named the featured Partner Country for the event, highlighting the U.S. as a leader in the world of innovative technology through the 250 companies in the US Pavilion that will be attending.  Additionally, this year, President Barack Obama will join the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, to open the industrial technology trade fair, appearing at the opening ceremony and touring the fair.

The event boasts 220,000 attendees from over 70 countries, and the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Minority Business Development Agency (“MBDA”) will be spearheading the country’s representation on this world stage.

With the theme of “Integrated Industry – Discover Solutions,” HM16 will be placing emphasis on promoting manufacturing digitalization in this new era of reindustrialization, with the US as one of the most attractive business partners represented at the event. MBDA has two tracks available for interested and qualified MBEs – those attending with a booth will be considered Track 1 and those attending without a booth are Track 2. By participating in the trade show, MBDA will be working alongside these MBEs with pre-conference evaluations, coordinated meetings, a “home base” at MBDA’s booth, and promotion of the importance of doing business with US minority businesses.

Hannover Messe, with its immense scale and widespread global representation, is a perfect opportunity for U.S. companies and economic development organizations to be showcased as the global business leaders of the world, and MBDA strives to see qualified MBEs attend the fair.

Industries featured at Hannover Messe 2016 will include Industrial Automation, Digital Factory, Digital Supply, Energy / Mobilitec, Research and Technology, and Investment.
